DDS Services

Family Trainers with Spectrum Behavioral Health Group Tulsa have provided compassionate, research-based behavioral support services for over nine years to clients and their caregivers through the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS), Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) program.

Our services are delivered primarily in Area II—east of I-35 and north of I-40—covering the northeast quadrant of Oklahoma. We work with referrals from DHS Case Managers, agency staff and Program Coordinators, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities who are already enrolled in the DDS program and approved for federally funded waiver services.

Behavioral Health Services We Provide:

  • Comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessments to understand the root causes of challenging behaviors

  • Positive Support Treatment Plans and Protective Intervention Plans tailored to the individual's needs

  • Training and education for caregivers, direct care staff, family members, and case managers

  • Behavioral data collection, analysis, and reporting to track progress and ensure treatment effectiveness

  • Quarterly progress reports submitted to the individual’s DDS case manager and care team

  • Consultation services that may include collaboration with the client’s psychiatrist, family, agency, or team

  • Monthly one-on-one visits with each individual at minimum

  • In-home and on-site services at client residences, vocational sites, or community placements

Where We Work:

Spectrum BHG Tulsa serves more than 140 clients across 25+ residential and vocational agencies. We travel directly to client homes and service locations in communities including:

Bartlesville, Broken Arrow, Claremore, Checotah, Coweta, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Pawhuska, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Tulsa, Wagoner, and Vinita.

We serve individuals across all placement types:

  • Private family homes

  • Foster care settings

  • DLS community homes

  • Traditional and alternative group homes

 Who We Serve:

All of our clients have an intellectual or developmental disability (IDD) diagnosis and many have co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or mood disorders. Most have also experienced early childhood trauma and are currently exhibiting challenging behavior patterns that may interfere with their daily lives and placement stability.
